This is my first time at Making Waves Swim School. How do I know which level to sign up for?
You can look on the Lesson Areas page to find detailed descriptions of the skills needed for each level. Or you can contact Bob or Cindy for a skill level assessment. Skill level assessments are also offered every Sunday at 10:45 am.
My 11 year old has never taken lessons. Can Making Waves help my child?
Yes, our Gator program is designed for older, novice swimmers.
How often will my child move from level to level?
We have no formal testing, but our instructors are trained at assessing student progress. When skills from one level are mastered, a student will move to the next level.
How often are lessons offered?
Lessons are 30 minutes long and offered weekly on Sundays during the school year. See the Class Schedule for current levels and times.
How much do lessons cost?
Lessons are the equivalent of $15.50 per week. A total session cost is equal to $15.50 times the number of lessons. See the Registration Page for current session prices.
If my child misses a lesson, can we make it up?
There are no make up classes, refunds or credits given. Please make effort to attend lessons each week.
